We are a family run guesthouse situated in the centre of the historic town of Kirkwall, Orkney's main town.
The bed and breakfast is located on the edge of the main shopping street where there is plenty to see and do amongst the shops and historic sites,we are also just minutes away from the ferries which travel to the outer north isles and also to the travel centre where the buses are to take you on a tour of the beautifull sites of interest that orkney has to offer.
We are situated within walking to all the hotels and restaurants,the Pickaquoy Leisure Centre is just ten minutes walk away from the b&b as with the three main supermarkets that support Kirkwall
There is a variety of ways to travel to orkney either by plane or by boat with three ports of departure from the scottish mainland by ferry,
Scrabster to stromness which is orkney's other main town,which is operated by Northlink Ferries
Gill's Bay to St Margaret's Hope which takes you through the scenic scapa flow which is steeped in history along with the village to which the ferry arrives this ferry service is run by Pentland Ferries
Northlink Ferries also offer a service from Aberdeen to Kirkwall and also to and from Shetland which arrives in the late evening when the beautifull sunsets can be seen,we offer a service which we can collect you from this ferry and take you to the guesthouse.
There is also a summer service for foot passengers that operate from John o Groats in Caithness to Burwick in South Ronaldsay.
There is also the plane service which fly's from Aberdeen,Edinburgh,Glasgow or Inverness into Orkney's main airport just located five minutes outside of Kirkwall.
